The Story:
Capture a piece of Ireland's heritage with this elegantly crafted unisex pendant, inspired by the intricate design of the Clonmacnoise Cross slab. Clonmacnoise was an important 6th century monastery - a center for religion, learning and crafts. The perfect tribute to the skilled craftsmanship of ancient stone carving, this large pendant features a cross complete with spiraling designs and semi circle patterns. On the original slabs, most dating back to the 8th century, they often featured a cross, the name of the person being commemorated, along with a prayer. The original slab that inspired this pendant had the carving: 'OR DOTHU ATH ALSAER' believed to translate into: A prayer for Tuathal the craftsman.
Add a touch of history to your collection with this meticulously crafted piece, and indulge in its rich and inspiring beauty.
